They went for a trip to see monkeys, but it was too dark for photography. Planning another trip to Maritzburg [Pietermaritzburg] by hire car, and Geoff and Denys will travel on to the Mooi River, but she is unable to go with them. Informs him that they will return to Cape Town on the ship 'Walmer Castle' on Thursday. Attended a concert by her friend the singer Clara Butt. Brief discussion of news back in England including the forthcoming General Election and a blizzard.
