Content DescriptionInforms Galway that he is going to matriculate at Cambridge University next month. Regrets that Galway was unable to join them at the Hague. Hasn't had time for partridge shooting this year because 'old Bentinck's' son received a blow from a sword to the back of his head which prevented them from having visitors. Brief mention of mutual friends. Attended a ball recently, but De Winton [Rev. Henry de Winton] only allowed them to go on condition that they managed to get up the next morning.

Ga 2 E 109/2: Envelope addressed to 'the Hon. George Monckton, Mrs de Rosen's, Eton College, Bucks'.
