Content Description	Addresses her 'Dear Catherine'; has won but it was really a 'triumph for Lawrence'; has told [Martin] Secker that she does not object to Carswell's book ['The Savage Pilgrimage'] and is glad for her; has had a terrible letter from Ada [Clarke, D.H. Lawrence's sister] and describes her as 'so bitter and unfulfilled'; is going to the Shaw's and has never met them; asks Carswell to meet for lunch Thursday and may have a book of 'Last Poems' for her; wishes Carswell success; signed 'Frieda'. Date: the letter in undated, the envelope is postmarked 9 Nov 1932 Includes a plain envelope (CC C 2/14/2) addressed to Mrs Catherine Carswell, 17 Keats Grove, Hampstead, NW; the envelope bears one red one penny stamp and one green halfpenny stamp and is postmarked London Nov 9 2.45PM 1932.
