Content Description	Addresses her as 'My dear Catherine'; he is sorry she is 'feeling so done' about her novel ['Open the Door!']; she should 'lie still as much as possible'; it is 'Loathsome about Don' [Donald Carswell, her husband] but 'a little soldiering won't really matter'; does not know when they will leave the country but hopes the war will end before next autumn and they can move then; signed 'D.H. Lawrence'; adds a postscript that Amy Lowell sent them £100 from America.
