Content Description	Thanks him for the copy of his despatch to Lord Clarendon; discusses the problem of Schleswig-Holstein and states that the German powers may not acknowledge the right of other European powers to mediate; informs him that he was unaware of the outcome of recent 'Imperial Meetings' but that it was thought that Napoleon knew nothing of the intentions of Alexander and felt that all concerned would be glad that the quarrel was at an end; informs him that Buol was unwell and had gone to Carlsbad.
