Content Description	States that he had received his letter and was glad he has been shooting and hunting in Scotland; apologises for not sending the photos previously; states he had not forgotten about the furs, but Grosvenor could not find good ones until February; states he had heard from Eric [Buchanan] about the problems with his proposed marriage; reports that Sir Samuel and Lady Baker had been in Yokohama; informs him he had visited the factory where paper money was made and discusses Japanese economics; gives descriptions of the wallpapers he has seen; remarks on the earthquake in Scotland and reports that there had been as large fire in Tokyo which caused considerable damage; states he was anxious to hear about the mine, but had great confidence in the talent of Francklyn; he sends his love to Lady Buchanan.
