Content DescriptionReports that he has learnt the General Ignatiev has sent a letter to Aali Pasha showing that as far back as 1859 Austria, France and Prussia encouraged Russia to seek a revision of the Treaty of Paris of 1856; he has been told that there are written proposals in the Russian Foreign Office, according to which France would assist Russia in annexing Galicia and obtaining a revision of the Treaty in return for co-operation in France's war with Austria in 1859.
