Content DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of his recent communications; he hopes that the Moors will ship the money from Mogador; Marshall O'Donnell has informed him that the Mulay Abbas has contacted London with further suggestions for the loan; he does not think that Lord John [Russell] will consent; informs him the Spanish messenger was to see Isturiz, possibly with instructions that the loan will be guaranteed, but states this was dependent upon the release of money from Mogador; wishes him a happy New Year and states the old one had ended unhappily for him as his father has died and he is to be removed to The Hague.
