Discusses the contents of a report by Mr Barrie concerning the capture of the Gibraltan vessel 'Amalia' near Valencia by a Spanish Guarda Costa; reveals the master of 'the Amalia' has stated that other vessels were nearby at the time of her capture which could prove useful when trying to establish her exact position in Spanish waters; reveals the British Government plans to question the legality of the capture.
