Content Description
Reveals the report of the Commission to examine the cost of arms supplied to Spain in 1835 has been completed and delivered to the Spanish Government; discusses the inferior qualily of the final 100,000 muskets supplied; reveals Mr Collantes has been informed that if Spain will pay interest on the whole debt, the British government will reduce the cost of these muskets by fifty per cent; reports Calderón Collantes 'insinuated that Her Majesty's Government showed more anxiety to cover their debt than the French Government theirs'; explains he was reminded of the differences between the French and British debts.
