Concerns an interview with Calderón Collantes; refers to the treaty requested by General Almonte; reveals Calderón Collantes is pleased that the British Government has urged General Almonte to withdraw this proposal; reveals Calderón Collantes 'objects to re-opening discussion already closed' but explains he is willing to allow a Spanish plenipotentiary to draw up an agreement between the two countries without the mediation of France and Great Britain; reveals he has promised to proceed with the treaty.
