Content Description
Reveals the content of a note to be forwarded to General Almonte by the Spanish Goverment regarding the settlement of differences between Spain and Mexico; explains that the note refers to the conditions of an ultimatum presented by the Spanish Government in 1857 to Mr Lafrayna; explains that the reply will be communicated to Britain and France and will state Spain's intention to decline further mediation in the matter and to either settle the dispute by direct negotiation or by an expedition to the coast of Mexico.
