Content Description
Reports that the Cortes will shortly be dissolved; the moderate Progressivistas are sanguine about the likely results of the elections, believing that the new Cortes will be composed of moderates, free from both democratic and reactionary views; the Government's caution since it came to power has aroused fears that General O'Donnell is facing difficulties either from the court or from his colleagues in Madrid; it is therefore hard for the public to predict his future policy; the Progessivistas are satisfied with the revision of the electoral lists and this revision may indicate that the Government intends to act upon constitutional principles.
