Content DescriptionDescribes the Queen's tour of the Asturias; this included a visit to a famous mine near Gijón and a visit to the Cave of Louadonja at the retreat of Pelayo where the Prince of Pelayo successfully resisted the Moors and laid the foundations of the Spanish Monarchy; at the altar of the Virgin within the Cave the Prince of the Asturias received the name of Pelayo, and he and the Infanta were confirmed; the Queen has been received by her subjects with enthusiasm and loyalty.
