Content DescriptionReports that the Spanish Minister will firstly communicate verbally with the Earl of Malmesbury regarding his speech in the House of Lords; the Spanish Government will not however be happy with verbal explanation from Earl Granville, as they need something to show at the Cortes; the Foreign Minister believes that his colleagues may be satisfied if he states in writing that Earl Granville did not intend to impugn the honour of Spain and that he was only referring to the Cuban Government.
