Content Description
Reports on a discussion he had with General Crowhan on the war in Italy and the possibility of the German Confederation joining in; they also discussed the measures which Britain and Spain are taking to protect their neutrality; he [Buchanan] feels that perhaps the Spanish government distrust the French Emperor, and sometimes consider the possibility of a European War in which they would be allied to England.
