Content DescriptionReports that a British subject named Christopher Moffat, who was owed money by the owner of a lead mine, carried off a portion of lead from the mine, saying that it was payment in kind; for this he was arrested and sentenced to two years imprisonment; he [Buchanan] has succeeded in obtaining remission of the sentence from the Queen.
