Content DescriptionInforms him that he had spoken to Calderon Collantes about recent attacks on the fort of Ceuta and had told him the contents of consul Reade's despatches and that a British naval force had been sent to Gibraltar; comments on demands and counter demands between the Spanish government and the Moorish minister Khateeb; discusses the succession of Muhammad II as Sultan of Morocco, the reporting of Spanish intentions against Morocco in the Spanish press and British objections to a Spanish occupation of Tangier, which might affect the supplies to the garrison of Gibraltar.
