Content Description	States that he was not surprised by the Danish refusal to comply with the British request [of closing the Danish Sound to Russian ships]; General Oxholm and Monsieur de Bluhme both stated that Denmark must remain neutral; he agreed, noting that if Denmark closed the Sound to Russian vessels, Sweden may be forced by Russia to close her ports to allied ships; informs him that both he and Lord Clarendon had been impressed by his 'great despatch'; was surprised to hear from Rainals that Danish opinion favoured Russia; discusses the position taken on the conflict by Prussia and Austria.
