Content Description	Informs him that his son had visited and that he would have offered him hospitality had he known of the visit in advance; reports that he was in charge of 300,000 French prisoners of war; states that he did not think the French could resist the Prussian armed forces; states that modesty and moderation were never part of the Prussian character and that this was especially true under Bismarck; discusses Prussian territorial gains in Alsace Lorraine; reports that the Americans were selling armaments to France; notes that it was curious that the Prussian press defended Bazaine and suggests he was in league with Bismarck to restore the imperial dynasty; discusses Bavarian reluctance to yield to Prussian proposals and that the King was against giving the King of Prussia the title of Emperor of the Germans.
