Content Description	Informs him that he had appeared before the Diplomatic Committee on several occasions and that it seemed well disposed; comments on Gorchakov's intentions towards Turkey and the influence he exercised over the Emperor; informs him that his last despatch had been sent to the Admiralty; expresses doubts that the Russian alliance with Austria would last, suggesting that it would fail at the end of Prince Charles of Rumania's reign; states that the interests of Austria and Hungary in the lower Danube clashed with those of Russia; comments on Russian ambition in Central Asia, with reference to Krasnovodsk and the Caspian Sea; comments on the Irish question in the Commons which was currently dealing with land and education.
