Content Description	Informs him that he cannot send information on Turkish affairs that is not in the possession of the Foreign Office for him to dispute the lies Gorchakov told him; comments on the 'mischief making Beust's comments found in the Vienna despatch No 220 to Bloomfield, which stated that Beust had brought about peace in Montenegro; states that he does not trust Gorchakov with regard to Central Asia and implies that he might attempt to lay blame on Kaufmann; discusses Russian activity on the Afghan border; Brunnow had tried to blame him [Buchanan] for not informing the Russian Government of the proposed instruction to Erskine with regard to Greece; did not doubt that Michell's report would be interesting.
