The Corn Law Bill will be carried in the House [of Commons]; Peel will be minister for many years and will be supported by Tories except Bentinck, Disraeli and 3 more; Brougham hopes Lyndhurst will give up; Peel will make him Chancellor; the Queen will not object as Peel has the support of [Prince] Albert; Melbourne stated that Peel had damaged his character; encloses a letter for Atkinson.
