Content DescriptionThanks him for the introduction to Prince Obolensky who he had met at the Tcherkaskys; asks him to send any information relating to Poland by way of Berlin as Lord Napier always sent a messenger to Warsaw at the end of each month; states that he had been well received in Poland and that new government measures provided plenty of interest; comments on the oppressive regime in Lithuania which was under General Kaufmann's control; invites him and Lady Buchanan to visit; states that Lord Augustus' return to Berlin was not popular; reports that Mrs Lowther had written to him to say they were taking 2 years leave.
