Content DescriptionComments on the lack of reaction in Russia to the escapade of the Prince C. of Hohenzollern in the principalities; asks if there was any complicity with France or Prussia or if it was hoped the Prince would marry the Leuchtenburg Princess; expresses the hope that the Turks would not enter the principalities and states that the Emperor did not know anything of the intentions of Prince C., but doubted that the same was true of Bismarck; informs him that Bismarck had accepted the Conference; discusses the size of the Prussian and Austrian armies and reports discontent among the Bavarian lower classes; states that Bismarck did not really like the idea of the conference.
