Content DescriptionReports that the government in Copenhagen have been awaiting despatches from Quaade [who was in London], as they were anxious to send him instructions for the next conference; has delayed the Berlin messenger for that purpose; Wedel and Monrad thank him for his assistance; reports that the papers said 'Prince Alfred was a good Schleswig-Holsteiner and the Prince of Wales is an enthusiastic Dane'; the Queen was said to be losing her popularity and Clarendon's nephew Villiers had confirmed this on a visit to Copenhagen.
