Content DescriptionReports that Rechberg did not expect the Danes to refute recent agreements and that he now expected the Danes to make ridiculous demands at the forthcoming conference; it is his opinion that the neutral powers will have to intervene; states that it will be difficult for either of them to take any leave; notes that Prince Alfred had picked a good time to leave Berlin; comments on the forthcoming marriage of Elma Bruce to [Thomas, 5th Baron] Thurlow who had been a favourite of Lord Elgin; discusses Italy and Garibaldi; states that Ridgeway had arrived but that he had not seen Rechberg.
