Content Description	Comments that he hopes the impression in Vienna that Bismarck is becoming more conciliatory is true; discusses at length the various celebrations to mark the marriage of Edward and Alexandra; has not given much thought to the Russo-Prussian convention; thinks Prussia will not benefit from the example of conciliation set by Austria in European affairs; wonders why Englishmen abroad do not observe Sunday; mentions that Lady Bloomfield is regularly declining invitations but feels he should observe English custom as the Queen's representative; notes that the Princess Royal [Victoria] had become 'quite German' in her habits; Rechberg hoped the Russian Emperor will announce an amnesty for Polish revolutionaries; understands that the King of Prussia does not want Karolyi to send representations to St Petersburg .
