Content DescriptionReports that De L'Ostende had informed him Admiral De Rigny had dispatched a vessel to Corfu; states that he had informed [Stratford] Canning of the Russian entry to Moldavia; the Russian Manifesto had been received in Constantinople and relayed to Corfu; reports it was rumoured that Ibrail [Braila] had been taken; the Russians were at Bucharest on 11th [May]; a Firman [in Smyrna] was issued ordering all men to arm themselves as was the case throughout Turkey; there had been an outbreak of the plague (sic) from Morea.
