Content Description
Processes are the official mandates from the Archdeacon authorising deans and apparitors to cite all the clergy or all the churchwardens in a particular deanery to appear at the next visitation. They are in a standard form and do not give individual names of clergy or churchwardens.
Processes from 1914 onwards are for the modern Archdeaconry of Nottingham, comprising only the southern part of the county of Nottingham.
Related Material
16th and 17th century Processes are normally bundled with Citations (AN/C). Further Processes dated 1771-1856 are in the Visitations series, numbered AN/V 378.
