UMP - Photographs relating to the University of Nottingham and its predecessor University College, Nottingham, collected by various departments and staff at the University
Photographs collected by the Alumni Office, and also the Development and Campaign Offices at the University of Nottingham
Photographs relating to University alumni or used to promote alumni and fund raising activities
The Development Office was established in 1989 and worked closely with the Alumni Office until the two combined to form the Campaign and Alumni Relations Office (CARO).
The photographs have been transferred to Manuscripts and Special Collections at different times between 1990 and 2015.
The photographs show a range of activities undertaken by students and relate closely to photographs in other sections of UMP. Many of the images have been collected or created for use in alumni events or communications. Some of the photographs in this section were sent directly to CARO (or the predecessor offices) by alumni. These images have been included in this section of UMP as they were transferred with others to the University collections from CARO. However, they relate closely to images gathered together under the NUP reference which were donated directly by alumni to Manuscripts and Special Collections.
The photographs are arranged in series, each series denoting a separate acquisition to the collection.
Identification of copyright holders of unpublished material is often difficult.
Permission to make any published use of any material from the collection must be sought in writing from the Keeper of Manuscripts and Special Collections
Reprographic copies can be supplied for educational and private study purposes only, depending on access status and the condition of the documents.
