Content DescriptionShows the P.M. cutting a ceremonial ribbon; the Vice-Chancellor Professor Frederick Sydney Dainton (afterwards Lord Dainton), stands behind him; the opening ceremony took place during the meeting of the British Association held at the University from 31 Aug. to 7 Sep. 1966; the opening of the new buildings marked the completion of 'Science City' as then envisaged.
