Admin HistoryThe University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus opened in September 2000. It was the first ever branch campus of a British University established outside the UK, earning the distinction of the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2001 and the Queen's Award for Industry (International Trade) 2006. In September 2005, the Malaysia Campus moved to its new purpose-built campus at Semenyih, 30km south of Kuala Lumpur.

Under new legislation in 2003, the University of Nottingham became the first foreign University to establish an independent campus in China. The Ningbo Campus welcomed its first students in 2004 and was officially opened in 2006 by John Prescott, the UK’s Deputy Prime Minister.

The campuses at UNMC and UNNC both reflect the University Park Campus with lakes and their own versions of the Trent Building, and currently provide facilities for 5000 and 8000 students respectively.
Custodial HistoryThe photographs come from a number of sources.
DescriptionIt is anticipated that further images relating to the overseas campuses will be acquired to maintain a visual record this important part of the University of Nottingham and its development.
