Content DescriptionThis section includes papers concerned with the preparation of the University College for evacuees from Goldsmiths Teacher Training College and the Institute of Education during WW2; details of residential conferences taking place at the University College; papers concerning admissions; correspondence and ephemera of the Association of University Teachers; papers concerning student awards; includes attendance registers; correspondence between Jesse Boot and the University College concerning the leisure facilities; examination questions, answers and results.

A collection of several booklets on a broad range of subjects; applications for the Training Department including medical reports; a roll of honour for students on war sevice; details of deaths of students at war from relatives; papers from the Bureau of the British Empire [late the Association of Universities of the British Commonwealth]; papers on state bursaries; draft petitions for the University charter.

Numbers UR 897-901, UR 907, UR 921, UR 929-934, UR 939, UR 954, UR 962, UR 965-967 and UR 973 have been removed from this series. They will form part of the University of Nottingham collection (UN). Numbers UR 905-906 are not in use.
