Physical DescriptionFolio volume
Early foliation of 1-75 does not include title page
ConditionBinding is good. Paper is mixed: the binding is tight; patches to the leaves are satisfactory from f 1-29. From f 30 there are old sewing holes (top area of gutter) which need attention; from f 31 there are many worm holes which need filling and which are starting to tear. From f 33 there are large patches on the gutter edge some of which are not covering the worm holes. From f 38 there are soft patches close to the gutter, near the worm holes and in contact to the patches. From f 41 these soft patches are starting to crease and deteriorate. From f 47 the paper is noticeably darker close to the gutter, and is very delicate. The long patches (gutter reinforcements), of newer paper have kept the gutter border stiff and the folio is bending by the edge of the patches. From f 66 there are clear tears around the sections described.
