Secretary script with italic titles
One of a set of six volumes which share binding characteristics. The binding was probably done around 1910 and consists of Burgundy coloured half leather and buckram on pasteboard. The spine is gold stamped with a summary title of the contents and with two double fillets across the head and tail. The meeting place between leather and buckram is emphasised by a gold stamped line in both upper and lower covers. All pastedown and flyleaves are of one type of deep cream coloured modern paper (perhaps acid free) which shows no paper maker's name, but which has regular chainlines at about 25 mm apart. The binder added 2 front flyleaves and 14 blank folios at the back of the volume. The volume is gold graphed. See Pw V 81, 82, 87, 89 and 138 for other volumes in the set.
