Content DescriptionThis volume contains records of the fees owed to the Crown by those requiring the services of the Lord Privy Seal, and may be seen as accompanying Pw V 7. It runs from 26 March 1706 to 31 March 1711, and gives month by month listings of fees.

The office of Lord Privy Seal was at this time held by John Holles, 3rd Duke of Newcastle.

Descriptive FeaturesWatermark: Post Horn within crowned shield, suspended under the shield the monogram WR, 120 x 55 mm.

Countermark: Letters DVE, approx. 12 x 25 mm; one type of paper throughout

Unbound, the paper is held together with a row of stitches in the centre of the gathering
