One older hand

One of a set of four volumes which share the same binding characteristics; volume bound in brown Morocco leather on boards; upper and lower covers have no decoration at all; spine is divided into seven gold tooled panels from head to tail; top and bottom panels are taller than the remaining five panels; second panel is stamped as a label to indicate volume number, here described as 'Part'; besides this second panel, all panels consist of a central floral tool enclosed by a supplementary floral tool stamped to left and right of the central oranment; each panel is surrounded by a double line and fillet.

Top and bottom panels of spine are edged at head and tail with an ornamental leaf tooling; outer edges of bindings are also gold stamped with a section of this last leaf tool; volume has a uniform, multicoloured and speckled graphing on all edges; binder made a triple spelling mistake on spine of this volume which should read 'Parte Tercera' and not 'Tezero' as it does; volume may have been bound in England. See Pw V 69-70, 72 for other volumes in the set.
