Content Description
The MS consists of three five-line verses, plus three lines only of verse 4. The remainder of the manuscript is found at Pw V 1174 and it is from this MS that the final line can be obtained.
The title of the poem 'To the Duke of Argyll' can be found from reference to Pw V 696. The title on Pw V 697 refers to the tune of the ballad.
