Content DescriptionThe untitled poem consists of 32 lines, followed by a 3-line postscript, the first line of which is in Latin.

The poem commences with the address to 'My Lord' and is signed by Ro[bert] Wh[iteha]ll. It is dated at M[erton] C[ollege] Oxon., Jan. 1 1666/1667.

The poem is addressed 'For ye Right hon<oura>ble John Earle of Rochester these'.

The letter was sealed (part of seal remains). Parts of the text are missing, presumably lost when opening the letter.
