|Content Description||The untitled poem, which consists of 52 lines, is preceded by the greeting 'Dear Tim' and followed by the signature 'Yours S. Wesley'.|
The poem is dated at 'Deans Yard Nov. 25: 1727' and is followed by a postscript: 'Monday is Holyday all Day beg'd by Prince William'.
The verse is addressed to 'the Reverend Mr Thomas at the R<igh>t Hon<oura>ble the Earl of Oxfords in Dover Street St James's'.
An endorsement on f 2v states: 'From Mr Wesley. Rec<eived> Nov. 26. 1727. An apology, for his not coming to see the Library at ye time my L<or>d appointed'.
