Content DescriptionThe untitled poem, which consists of 52 lines, is preceded by the greeting 'Dear Tim' and followed by the signature 'Yours S. Wesley'.

The poem is dated at 'Deans Yard Nov. 25: 1727' and is followed by a postscript: 'Monday is Holyday all Day beg'd by Prince William'.

The verse is addressed to 'the Reverend Mr Thomas at the R<igh>t Hon<oura>ble the Earl of Oxfords in Dover Street St James's'.

An endorsement on f 2v states: 'From Mr Wesley. Rec<eived> Nov. 26. 1727. An apology, for his not coming to see the Library at ye time my L<or>d appointed'.
