Countermark: Monogram MHG, approx. 28 x 22 mm (With Type C)

Italic script; professional presentation of good fair copies; script is not identical throughout.

Written on uniformly ruled paper; reddish-brown ink marginal rulings throughout.

Upper and lower cover blind tooled with three concentric panels, fillets, and inner panel enmarked with a roll of stems and flowers; middle panel is of plain beige calf leather while outer and inner panels are of mottled brown calf leather; spine is divided into six sections, five of which have a floral gold-stamped design; second section of spine reads 'POEMS &C IN MANVSCR'; binder added two front and two back flyleaves.
