Watermark, double: Letters IHS surmounted by Roman Cross, approx. 38 x 41 mm and Strasbourg lily, large fleur de lis within crowned shield with insignia 4WR suspended from the shield, approx. 158 x 65 mm (Type B, pp 193-94 to end and 2 back flyleaves)

Italic throughout with formal titles and ornate rulings underlining the titles; professional presentation or formal fair copy.

Copied onto ruled paper

Black calf leather on pasteboard; upper and lower covers are decorated with gold stamped double fillet lines along the outer borders, and a central panel is formed with the same type of fillets, and an ornament of flowers and buds was applied to all four corners of central panel; spine is divided into 6 panels, the 5 sewing ridges are enmarked by gold-stamped double fillet lines; head and tail of spine are also gold stamped with double fillets and an additioanl ornamental border.
