Descriptive Features
Watermark: Grapes surmounted by small crown, flanked by letters IB, approx. 62 x 30 mm, same type of watermark through this MS.
Fair copy from pp 1-254, pp 307-323 and pp 363-373; the hand that wrote the four lines on the first folio (unpaginated) seems to have used some blank leaves of the MS to enter further material on pp 206-208, pp 255-306, pp 324-341, pp 347-363 and pp 375-382. There are still blank folios which separate different sections of the original anthology
MS copied on ruled paper, these are pp 47-58, pp 81-106, pp 119-134, pp 159-168, pp 209-224, pp 342-346 and pp 377-379
Dark brown Morocco leather with gold tooling of lines and floral ornaments and central medallion in both front and back covers and marigold flowers on spine; remnants of front and back brown silk ties; book appears to have been bound after 1612, the date of the printed fragments used as pastedowns (see printed pages on back of the MS).
