The contents comprise of one main physical section: uniformly cropped paper, approximately 302 x 190 mm; but there are two smaller folios, pp 77-80, which measure 305 x 189 mm.

Descriptive FeaturesWatermark: Fleur de lis within narrow shield surmounted by coronet, 65 x 47 mm (Type A, pp 1-76)

Countermark: Letters BD, 12 x 20 mm (With Type A)

Watermark: Foolscap with During, three rings, insignia surmounted by figure 4, 110 x 65 mm (Type B, pp 77-87).

Countermark: Letters VR, 13 x 15 mm (With Type B).

Plain dark blue half leather and buckram on pasteboard upper and lower covers; spine in dark blue leather, gold-stamped 'The Humorists Shad-well'; the binder has added two front and two back flyleaves (similar binding to Pw V 23).
