Content DescriptionText consists of a page of notes/corrections on Grubb's Ballad, followed by a prefatory poem in Latin (with some English and Greek) of 18 lines in hexameters.

Endorsed in the hand of Edward Harley, 'Corrections of the Ballad', i.e. The British Heroes (London and Oxford, 1707).

According to a note, the ballad was written in 1688. The prefatory verses, according to the heading, were written when the poem was not yet published, but the corrections refer to the published 1707 edition.
