Watermark: Three Circles, uppermost circle is the Arms of Genoa i.e. crowned round shield containing Roman cross flanked by rampant dragons; middle circle contains letter D or P; bottom circle is blank, approx. 75 x 50 mm

Copied on ruled paper
Dark brown leather on boards with floral tooling, gold stamped on all corners; on spine, blind tooled 'ELEGY'; double border lines in front, back and spine.
