Watermark: Cross, Maltese cross within ornate rectangular field framed by ornate double lines, each of four corners ends in small fleur de lis, name GAPELLADES at base of mark, approx. 88 x 74 mm
Free cursive script
Vellum on pasteboard with a flap (measuring 144 x 50 mm) to close with a leather thong still present; pastedowns are made of the same paper in volume.
