Light brown calf gold stamped with a roll made up of circular flowers, fruits and shells interlinked by leaves and branches, both sides of the roll edges with a wave and leaf pattern, the hole close to a single fillet line edged with an outer fillet roll of little points; letter P surmounted by a coronet is stamped in the centre of the binding; spine is divided into seven panels which accentuate the six sewing ridges; second panel is covered with brown leather and is gold stamped 'English Exports [and] Imports'; remaining panels are gold stamped with an ornate floral stamp of branches, leaves and flowers; panels are enmarked by gold stamped double and triple fillet lines; pastedowns and flyleaves are covered with marble paper. |
